Shower Waterproofing Membrane
To help ensure a 100% waterproof leak protection for your shower installations, look towards using Blanke Aqua Shield. Manually constructed niches aren't hard to build, they're just time consuming. Cut the 2x4s down to size, mount the 2x4s, cut the cement board to fit, mount the cement board, waterproof, then tile.
